World sexual health day
September 4 has been designated as World Sexual Health Day, with the aim of raising awareness and promoting sexual health around the world.
Sexual health is an essential part of overall wellbeing and includes physical, emotional, mental and social wellbeing in relation to sexuality.
The conversation around sexual health can be difficult for many people, but it is necessary. Lack of information and taboos can lead to serious health problems such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), unwanted pregnancies, and emotional difficulties. Proper education and access to health care help prevent these problems and promote health and well-being.
Sexual health is also about the free expression of sexuality and fostering healthy relationships based on respect, mutual understanding and consent. Health professionals play a key role in providing information and support to individuals to enable them to make the right decisions about their sexual lives.
At Prime Health Med, we are committed to providing comprehensive health care and supporting our patients in every aspect of their health, including sexual health. Contact us to learn more or to schedule your appointment.
